Fall Internship Opportunity

Fancred Brand Ambassador


Fancred is a social network for fans to connect and share the highs and lows of their sports life. We launched last year with the help of Big Papi, and we now have tens of thousands of fans, journalists, and athletes in the Fancred community.

Last summer, we ran this internship program at Mississippi State University, resulting in over 10% of their student body and their the athletic director joining Fancred. The Athletic Department has also incorporated Fancred as a major component of their social media strategy.

Since then, we have expanded the internship to schools of the SEC, ACC, B1G, BIG 12 and Pac-12.
Now, we're looking for interns at Penn State. This is a fun opportunity for students who are interested in the sports industry to build your resume and work closely with a thriving start-up in the sports scene.

LOOKING TO FILL TWO INTERNSHIP POSITIONS FOR THE FALL!

Penn State Sports Properties (PSSP), a property of Learfield Sports, is the multi-media rights holder for Penn State Athletics. PSSP is responsible for generating revenue via the development and management of corporate partnerships including: marketing programs, promotions, media, event entitlements, hospitality and game day exposure.

The Penn State Sports Properties Marketing & Sales Intern will be responsible for supporting PSSP in all capacities: game day and event operations, sales and marketing, communication with various departments of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, office and administrative support. Each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer) will provide varying levels of experience based on the athletic calendar of events during that particular semester. Target Back-to-College Event

Target is hiring Brand Ambassadors for the Back to College Event!!


This exclusive after hours shopping party takes place at Target stores across the country getting students ready and excited for a new year. We are looking to hire enthusiastic and dedicated students who represent Target’s “Fast, Fun & Friendly” brand to facilitate the after hours shopping event(AHSE).

All majors and years are welcome and encouraged to get involved!!

This is an official and paid position with Target that looks great on your resume!!

All Brand Ambassadors receive a $100 Target gift card for working the event.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 28th, 2014 from 10:30pm - 12:30am but you must be available around 8pm that day to help with set up of the event!

There are 2 teams that you can join:
Campus/Busing Team
  • Brand Ambassadors who represent Target during the Shopping Event primarily on campus and on the busses. They act as hosts on campus at each bus stop, on each bus, and outside the Target store.
Store Team
  • Brand Ambassadors represent Target inside the store, in the roles of attendance tracking, Bullseye mascot escort, gift bag distribution, and managing vendor Activations (games).
Getting involved is as quick and easy as filling out this brief survey!!

Looking for help with your future interviews and jobs?
On behalf of the Philadelphia chapter of the AMA, I wanted to extend an invitation to you to attend a Collegiate Career Workshop that we are having and is being hosted by Temple University on Saturday, April 26th.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and is targeted to students who are interested (or are majors) in the field of marketing.  The event will have a keynote speaker in the morning and topics that will touch on networking, social media as part of the job search, and dressing for the interview.  There will also be breakout sessions by subject matter experts on various areas of marketing.  The breakout sessions include:  Brand Management, Market Research & Analytics, Digital/Interactive/Social Media, Marketing Communications, Direct Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Marketing Automation.

The objective of the day is to prepare students with the tools needed to enter the professional world and introduce them to or educate them on field of marketing and all that marketing means and has to offer.

We encourage you to register early and to share the attached flyer and/or this email with your friends from your school, or other schools, who may be interested in marketing or are uncertain about marketing or their career path.

Campus Representative Opportunity


We are looking for a campus rep who will be in charge of our recently launched an iPhone app at Penn State called SmileBack.  It's a fun game for meeting new people on campus. Recognize that cute guy or girl you've seen around campus? Send them an anonymous smile and if they guess it was you, first drinks are on us. If they don't, they'll never know it was you and you won't have that awkward encounter at the library ;)
