Pintact Internship Opportunity

We are looking for an innovative student who is interested in strategically marketing the Pintact app throughout Penn State. The internship will be a great opportunity to see how a start-up firm works from the ground-up, as well as influence a product that is adding exciting features each and every day! The position will require the student to work about 10 hours a week during the semester with potential to say on for a summer internship.

NCG Week

The Nittany Consulting Group cordially invites you to our first ever signature event: NCG Week. Get the chance to experience a whole week of networking and professional development opportunities as well as a large case competition. Representatives from DeloittePwCErnst YoungKPMGIBMGrant Thorntonand Chatham Financial will be in attendance. 

The agenda for the week is as follows:

  • Sunday | Potluck with NCG- Come out for a nice casual dinner with the members of NCG and students interested in consulting for some peer networking.
  • Monday | Hors D'oeuvres with the Big 4- Meet the consulting and advisory professionals of Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG over some hors d'oeuvres.
  • Tuesday | Bowling with NCG- Join NCG members, students interested in consulting, and consulting professional alumni for some bowling at Northland Bowl and Recreation Center.
  • Wednesday | Release the Case- For the teams competing on Friday's case competition, meet the other teams and receive your case for the competition.
  • Thursday | Consulting Panel- Take the opportunity to learn and hear from the consulting professionals themselves on how they started their career and experiences.
  • Friday | NCG Case Competition + Meet the Consultants- Compete with the best of Penn State in a case competition sponsored by seven companies for a chance to compete for a $1000 cash prize and endless networking opportunities. If you were not selected to compete in the case competition, there is also a huge networking opportunity with all of the corporate sponsors happening at the same time. Some companies will also be looking to interview students for their internship and full-time positions.

THON Dancer Mail

Support our THON Dancers and make them dancer mail!

During THON Kevin and Nicole will be dancing for 46 hours! Towards the end, when the struggle is real, they will be receiving dancer mail from friends and family to keep them motivated and dancing. What keeps them really motivated is when they receive a HUGE pile of dancer mail!! Let's help them out and write anything - an inspirational note, funny buzzfeed articles, cute pictures of puppies... be creative! It must be appropriate or the THON office will filter it out.

PSMA will begin their Dinner Series with many companies looking for interns and new hires with PSMA involvement. Spring Membership

We hope everyone had a great break and you are enjoying your new classes for the spring! We have a lot of new and fun events coming up and lots of professional development events for those still looking for jobs or internships this year!

Lets get started!
Whether you are a new or returning PSMA members please fill out the 
Spring 2015 Membership Form.

Steps to becoming an official PSMA member:
1) Sign-up to become an official AMA (American Marketing Association) member HERE. Becoming an official member makes you a part of an internationally recognized Silver Chapter Organization.
Returning PSMA Members - AMA membership extends 1-year. If you paid and signed up Fall 2014, you DO NOT need to sign-up again.
2) Fill out PSMA Membership Form
3) Pay PSMA Dues - $33 cash or check made out to "Penn State Marketing Association". You can pay at any meeting.

Completing these steps will ensure you eligibility to participate in all PSMA sponsored events such as case competitions, information sessions, corporate lunch-in and the marketing career fair.

The Daily Collegian is recruiting new members for the Business Division. We are currently seeking students interested in advertising, public relations, sales, and more to join our staff. Smeal NSO Ambassador Opportunity

Are you living in State College for Summer 2015 and looking for a paid internship or part-time job? Are you interested in helping Smeal’s NSO (New Student Orientation)? 
Then apply to be a Smeal NSO Ambassador!


Before the beginning of your first year at Penn State, you were required to participate in New Student Orientation(NSO). As a Smeal NSO Ambassador, you would assist in the presentation of information to students and their families concerning the Smeal curriculum and the entrance-to-major process within the college given with a peer to peer outlook.

Our minimum requirements are your availability to work from May 19th thru July 24, 2015 between 12:45 - 3:00 PM during the work week and be willing to speak to families about your academic experience. You are not required to work every day. This is a paid position that offers great experience.

Smeal Majors: A schedule of the information sessions regarding the majors offered by the Smeal College of Business and Career and Corporate Connections resources can be found on the flyers in the atrium. Sessions will be held in the atrium and in rooms throughout the building.

Student Organizations: Smeal groups will be on hand to meet with prospective student members. Talk with current leaders to find the right organization for you.

Penn State Resources and Programs: Discuss these valuable programs and resources with staff. Endeavors to include, but aren't limited to career service, Schreyer Business Library, international programs, START conference, Diversity Enhancement Programs and Alumni Relations.

Smeal Departments: Representatives from each major will be present to discuss the options at the Big Event - Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, MIS, Risk Management, Supply Chain and Information Systems.
